A limited warranty for the lifetime of the original owner.
Made to last a lifetime, and we stand behind that. Every AKNOBO® board and stand is covered for the lifetime of the original owner, starting from the date of purchase.
What's covered
Manufacturing defects. If any AKNOBO® piece — walnut, marble or titanium — has a defect in materials or workmanship, we will replace it free of charge.
Our walnut promise. Solid walnut is a natural, living material. If your walnut board or stand cracks, splits or warps under normal home use, we will replace it, for life.
Replacements ship at our cost. If a piece is no longer made, we will send one of equal or greater value.
What's not covered
- Dishwasher use on the walnut or marble pieces, soaking or submerging wood in water, or leaving wood wet
- Burns or scorching from direct heat, open flame or hot cookware
- Drops, impact, abuse or commercial use
- Chips, cracks, stains or etching on marble caused by impact, acidic foods (lemon, wine, vinegar) or sudden temperature changes
- Knife marks, scratches and everyday surface wear
- Natural variation and change over time, such as differences in grain, color and veining, darkening of walnut, and patina. These are part of natural materials, not defects.
- Products bought from unauthorized sellers, or altered by anyone other than AKNOBO®
How to make a claim
Email info@aika-lt.com with your order number and a few photos of the issue. Once your claim is approved, we will send your replacement at no cost to you. We may ask you to return the original piece.
Care
Hand-wash, dry upright, and oil your walnut board from time to time to keep it looking its best.
Your rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. For customers in the EU and UK, this warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect them.
